DTN COMMENTS: A few live bids are now on the table in parts of Nebraska,
and there are still just a few in Kansas at $254, but so far, they are
all being passed. In other feeding areas bids and asking prices still
have yet to be fully established. Packer inquiry should continue to
improve as the day progresses. Beef cutouts are expected to be lower with
light to moderate box movement.
Just a reminder that today is a Federal holiday, Juneteenth, and many
USDA reports will not be released today. But Mandatory reporting will
take place as usual.
NOTE: Feedlots are encouraged to email DTN with any cattle sales, at
linda.nellson@dtn.com. All sales will be listed anonymously and organized
by state. All live sales are FOB and set for 1-9-day delivery. A weekly
summary from this data will be posted on the Weekly Cattle Sales Reported
to DTN page and will be left up for the entire week for reference
purposes.
